Funeral service for Mr. Winston Lavelle Albritton, 88, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 3:00PM Monday, March 1, 2021, at Parkview Baptist Church in Monroe with Rev. Lee McGlone, Rev. Charles Dupree, and Mr. Ray Mohler officiating. Interment will follow in Enterprise Baptist Church Cemetery in Farmerville, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe.
Mr. Albritton was born on January 31, 1933, in Union Parish, LA, and passed away on February 26, 2021, in Farmerville, LA. He was a graduate of Farmerville High School and NLU. Mr. Albritton was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church for over 54 years, where he served as Deacon and on numerous committees. He was a resident of Monroe for over 60 years and very active in the community. Mr. Albritton was a local business entrepreneur including Ace Hardware, Western Sizzlin Steakhouse, and Frenchman’s Bend Golf and Health Club, but he was also a CPA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lavelle and Mary Belle Albritton; three brothers, M.L. “Boots” Albritton, George Albritton, and Gary Lynn Albritton; and two sisters, Devon Vestal and Mariete Nale.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Joyce Albritton; brother, Morris Albritton (Dixie); two sisters, Mae Bardin and Laverne White; two sons, Scott Albritton (Belinda) and Keith Albritton (Ruth); two daughters, Sonya West (Donnie) and Sharon Ward (Ronnie); eleven grandchildren, Erin Geary (Billy), Danielle Wegner (Matt), Whitney Ward, Felicia Albritton, April Jones (Brian), Sharie West Sanders, Patrick West, Crystal Maxwell (Hank), Korey Albritton, Kayla Albritton, and Brooke Holcomb; nineteen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Terry Roberson, Mike Albritton, Dane Raymond, Brian Jones, John White, and Korey Albriton. Honorary pallbearers will be his great grandsons, Hudson Wegner, Grayson Bullock, Kayden West, Peyton Sanders, and Britton Wegner.
Visitation will be from 1:00PM until service time Monday at Parkview Baptist Church.
