Private graveside services for Winnette H. Bennett, 60, of West Monroe, LA, will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA, with Rev. Johnny Holyfield officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Bennett died March 29, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was a member of Faith Christian Church in West Monroe, LA.
Winnette lived her life with passion and love for her many family and friends. She was always the one who’s laugh could be heard across the room. Through the years she developed an amazing talent of home decorating and spent countless days decorating the homes of many of her friends. She never met a stranger and was always willing to help others in need. She spent many of her days drinking coffee on the back porch with her friends. She had many joys and hobbies but most of all, the bond and love she shared with her husband, children, and their 6 grandkids was truly what meant the most to her in life. Although her time was cut short, her legacy will forever live in our hearts.
She is preceded in death by her father, Winston Clark Hammons, Sr.
Survivors include her devoted husband and soulmate, Floyd Bennett; Son, Gabe Holt and his wife, Holly; Son, Zachary Bennett and wife Dawnee; Daughter, Natalie Bennett; Son, Jamar Harris; Mother, Annette Hammons; Brother, Eric Hammons and wife Lisa; Brother, Clark Hammons and wife Angie; Brother, Mark Hammons; Sister, Kelly Taylor and husband Lendel; Sister-in-law, Joyce Autin and husband Mike; and she also leaves behind her six precious grandchildren, Gabbie, Ali, Brayden, Brooklyn, Tanner and Paisley.
The family would like to say a special thank you to her niece Courtney Smith for the love and care she provided at the end. The family would also like to extend our thanks to The Holyfield Family and their spiritual support through this hard time.
