A memorial service for Mr. Winfred “Buster” Wade Crenshaw, Jr., 71, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, September 16, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, with Rev. Andy Myrick officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 P.M. until service time.
Mr. Crenshaw was born June 13, 1952, in Monroe, LA, and passed away August 31, 2023, in West Monroe, LA. He retired as the Captain of the 528th Engineering Battalion of the Louisiana National Guard and a hotel maintenance supervisor.
Mr. Crenshaw was very proud of his service to our great country. Our “Buster” enjoyed duck hunting especially with his favorite dog, Dipper, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He was also a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, LA. He was a goofball and jokester and he loved MeTV and the Three Stooges.
Mr. Crenshaw was preceded in death by his father, Winfred Wade Crenshaw, Sr.; mother, Mary Gilley Lockett and her husband William H. Lockett; grandparents, Paul G. Crenshaw, Lillie Kitchens Crenshaw, Hulet Gilley and Mary Cannon Gilley; and his brother, Stephen Crenshaw.
Survivors include his son, Victoria (William) Crenshaw, Jr.; sisters, Charlotte Wilhite and husband John, Mitzi Lockett, Sharon Crenshaw McNutt and husband Monty, Cynthia Crenshaw Lowery and husband Richard; brothers, DeWayne Crenshaw; aunts, Pauline Crenshaw Paulus, Peggy Gilley Canterberry and Dorothy Gilley Coleman; as well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
