Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Mae Slack, 89, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, with Rev. Ricky Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Slack died Sunday, January 1, 2017, at her home.
Willie Mae was a retired beautician. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Missouri Bairfield; her children’s father, Harvey Ramsey and was the last survivor of 16 siblings.
Survivors include her husband, Riley Slack; two daughters, Una Williams and husband Bud; and Jan Spruell and husband Pee Wee; two sons, Curtis Ramsey and wife Debbie; and William Ramsey; stepson, Riley Slack Jr.; nine grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Leslie Bairfield, Bud Williams, Charlie Neal, Johnny Konkle, Pee Wee Spruell, and Jack McKoin. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Williams, Curtis Ramsey, Jr., Jamie Parrott, Dustin Ramsey, and Chris Slack.
Visitation will be from 9:00AM until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
