Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Lois Crockett, 90, of Monroe will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Monroe with Rev. Terry Mims officiating. Interment will be at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mrs. Crockett passed on to heaven peacefully at home on July 24, 2013. Willie Lois grew up in Dunn, Louisiana, the oldest child of Wiley and Laura Thompson. She met her husband, Charles Crockett, on the last day of classes at Northeast Jr. College. Two years later they were married, a marriage that lasted 67 years. Charles and Willie Lois lived in Shreveport for 47 years before moving back to Monroe to be with their daughters. They were long-time members of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Shreveport and at age 82, upon returning to Monroe, joined Monroe’s Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Crockett was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Leola and Enos Thompson; brother and sister-in-law, Fuller and Ruby Thompson; as well as her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Maxine Crockett.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Crockett; her daughters and sons-in-law, Sara and Skip Caissie and Jane and John Cook; her grandchildren, Carolyn Guerriero and husband Paul, Jason Caissie and wife Michelle, Kevin Cook and wife Amy, Clay Caissie, and Allison Wilkerson and husband Kevin; and her eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason Caissie, Kevin Cook, Clay Caissie, Paul Guerriero, Kevin Wilkerson, and Cullen Guerriero.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Monroe.
