Funeral services for Willie Lee Fitch, 89, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, June 18, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Pastor David McGuffie officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Mr. Fitch was born January 2, 1929, in Wisner, LA, and died Thursday, June 14, 2018, at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Home. He was the assistant superintendent for the City of Monroe Water Department. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother.
Mr. Fitch was preceded in death by his parents, William Curtis and Rena Mae Lloyd Fitch; wife, Maudie Oglesby Fitch; son, Terry Lee Fitch; and sisters, Marie Bennett, and Jessie Barmore.
Survivors include his daughter, Kathy Fitch Skipper and husband Robert; 7 grandchildren, Dustin Winnon, Jason Fitch and wife Valerie, Jamie Fitch and wife April, Terra Fitch, Tyler Farrar, Rebecca Trammel and husband Chris, and Amanda Skipper;3 great-grandchildren; and sister, Catherine Vines.
Pallbearers will be Donald Ray Cole, Ivory Lutrell Brown, Randy Winnon, Spence Johnson, Glen Moore, and Billy Cox.
Memorials may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church, Monroe, LA.
