Willie Jr. Hill

Funeral services for Willie Hill, Jr., 73, of Monroe, will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, October 20, 2012 in the Chapel at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Laymond Tucker officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery, Marion, La.

Mr. Hill passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at his residence. He worked over 40 years with Binswanger Glass after serving in the US Army.  He loved to hunt and be outdoors and was a loving husband and devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was his family.

Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his granddaughters, Lacie and Amber Poole; his parents, Willie Hill, Sr. and Alma Naron Hill; his brothers, J. D. Hill, Lamar Hill, Clifton Hill, George Hill, Edward Hill; and his sisters, Dorothy Martin, Cora Lee Hill, and Louise Knight.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-three years, Margie Hill; children, Mike Hill of West Monroe, Trudy Bowman of West Monroe, Nancy Poole and husband Johnny of West Monroe, Randy Hill; grandchildren, Ashley Liggin, Joshua Liggin, Michael Hill, Jamie Tomlinson, Zachary Poole, Logan Leigh Ann Poole, Kristina Hill, Sarah Hill; great-grandchildren, Landon, Madison, Austin; sisters, Shirley A. Daugherty; and brothers, Wayne Hill and Granville Hill.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Carnahan, James Williams, Ken Williams, Tommy Andrews, Daniel Hill, and Dennis Hill.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday October 19, 2012, at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
