Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mr. William Thomas Painich, Sr., 97, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 18, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA with Rev. Charles Martindale officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA.
Mr. Painich was born March 30, 1920 in Memphis, TN, and passed away May 15, 2017 in West Monroe, LA. He was a member of First Baptist Church in West Monroe and served in the United States Coast Guard. Mr. Painich and his brother, Johnnie, were co-owners of the Trenton Street Bar in West Monroe for 40 years before they both retired in 1980. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Mrs. Vera Irby Painich; parents, Tom and Mary Zagar Painich; and two brothers, Rudolph Painich and Johnnie Painich.
Survivors include his son, William “Willie” Painich, Jr. and wife Elaine; daughter, Pamela P. Freeman; grandchildren, Lisa Tarver, Joey Painich and D.J. Freeman; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mason Tarver, Nate Painich, D.J. Freeman, Joey Painich, Mark Tarver and Payton Tarver.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Thursday.
