William Taylor "Bill" Hance, Sr.

September 13, 1929 — December 18, 2020

Private family services for William Taylor Hance, Sr. (Bill), 91, will be held on Monday December 21, 2020, with Dr. Mark Fenn officiating. Burial will be in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe.

Bill was born September 13, 1929 and went to be with his Lord and Savior December 18, 2020. He was a member of the Swartz Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Hance; mother, Violet Green; former wife, Alice Hance; and grandson, Connor Hance.

Survivors include his current wife, Norma Ellee Hance; children, Billy Hance and wife Kayla, daughter, Debbie Hance; stepson, Roger Ellee; grandchildren, Taylor, Chandler and Cole Hance and great granddaughter, Emerson Hance.

Bill graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a B.S. in Business Administration. He worked for Troy & Nichols for 33 years serving as their Senior Executive Vice-President. He was very involved in the Monroe Youth Baseball Association, serving as the President of the City Recreational Board. One of his greatest joys was winning the Little League City Championship with his “Bad News Bears.”

Bill served in the U.S. Army as PFC in Fort Riley, Kansas.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph McKay, Charles Heck, Roy Scalia, Jimmy Pettit and Jack Elee.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
