William James Dabbs, Jr.

Funeral services for William James Dabbs, 81, of West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, with Fr. Frank officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, in Monroe, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe.

William was born June 16, 1939 in Ferriday, Louisiana, and passed away February 18, 2021 in West Monroe, Louisiana.

He retired as Service Manager for Hixson Ford after many years. William was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

He is preceded in death by, his wife of 55 years Lois Romano Dabbs, mother W. Ruth Speights and father William James Dabbs Sr.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Theresa Hunter and husband, Don, Patricia Saxton and husband, Thomas, Paul Dabbs and wife, Terri, Karen Galligan, Jennifer Dabbs, thirteen grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Chad Galligan, Michael Dabbs, Mathew Dabbs, Nicholas Cardin, Blake Hunter and Brad Hunter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the River City Humane Society for cats, and the Alzheimer’s association.
