Funeral Services for William J. “Billy” Battaglia, 80, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, February 11, 2018, at Cedar Crest Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA, with Dr. Greg Clark and Craig McCain officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Mr. Battaglia was born October 6, 1937, and passed away February 8, 2018. He was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard, and was retired from Bancroft Bag, Inc. as Vice President of Material Management. Mr. Battaglia was a passionate West Monroe Rebels fan, an avid duck hunter and a master woodcraftsman and was the best “fix it” man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Salvatore and Anna Belle Battaglia; daughter, Anna Lynn Battaglia Beavers; brother, James Edward Battaglia.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Battaglia; sons, Jeff Battaglia and wife Pam, and Scott Battaglia and wife Wendy; daughter, Amy Innocenti and husband James; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; sister, Lena B. Stephens; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chan Battaglia, John Becker, Tyler Battaglia, Dalton Battaglia, Arnold Walker, Harold Snowden, James Shackelford and Jimmy Cranford.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Pat Cranford Sunday School Class.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Memorials may be made to Cedar Crest Baptist Church Building Fund.
