Graveside Services for William Howard “Billy” Taylor, 52, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 22, 2015 in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA with Rev. Hubert Reeves officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.Mr. Taylor was born on November 28, 1962 in Monroe, LA. He was an avid outdoorsman. Heaven on earth for him was being in the woods with his girls. Towards the end, one of his happiest times was spent enjoying and oatmeal creme pie with his grandson, Riley and to instill his mutual love of the outdoors. One of the first gifts to his granddaughter, Kayden, was a four wheeler. Billy was an avid Ham Radio Operator. Billy fought a long hard battle against cancer and on October 18, 2015, he lost that fight with his devoted wife and daughters by his side. He was loved and admired for his dedication to every task by all who knew him. His rough exterior covered for the soft kind hearted person underneath. Billy is preceded in death by his loving devoted brother, Johnny Matthew Bishop and his father, William Herschel Taylor Survivors include his wife, Bonnie King Taylor; daughters, Toni Danyel Taylor and special someone, Zach McGaha, Kimberly Danielle Thompson, and Samantha Kay Hill and husband, Kyle; grandchildren, Kayden McKenzie Thompson, and Riley James Thompson; mother, Theda Martin Reinninger; Dad, Johnny Bishop; and brother, Stephen Newton and wife, Gabbie.Pallbearers will be Kyle Hill, Dee Lewis, Trevor Jones, Jerry Walker, Jr, Rodney Patton and Steve McKnight. Honorary Pallbearers will be Raymond Patton, Douglas Valentine, Jerry Walker, Sr., Mike Buke, Shayne Dykes, Donnie Clark, Donnie Spillers, Kenny Rawls, Randy Thompson, Lee Fuller, and Chick Brewer.Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
