William Edgar Dark

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. William E. Dark, 89, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, March 10, 2025, at First West Feazel Chapel with Dr. Mark Fenn officiating. Interment will follow in the Start Cemetery in Start, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Dark was born in Gaars Mill, LA on December 4, 1935 and passed away with his family by his side after a brief illness, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA on March 4, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, Shelby S. Dark, Sr. and Lucille Terrell Dark; sister, Thelma Jane Dark Deal; and by his brother, Shelby S. Dark, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of sixty-eight years, Evelyn Freeland Dark; children, Randall Dark and wife, Karen and Sherri Elmore and husband, Jody; grandson, Colby Dark all of West Monroe, LA; sister, Shirley Dark Woodard Copeland of Start, LA; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Dark, Fred Freeland, Gary Freeland, Troy Sandifer, Ty Seal and Shane Woodard. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Pathfinders Sunday School Class at First West.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
