Services for William A. “Buddy” Potter, Jr. will be at 10:00AM Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Mulhearn Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Harper officiating. Burial will follow in the Coax Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Buddy was born on March 17, 1932 in Fort Necessity and passed away August 18, 2018 in Alexandria, LA.
He loved to go to church, loved his family, rocking the grand babies, and helping people. He loved fried fish, mowing yards, and working and everyone else should to.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William A. and Leola Mae Shamblin Potter, Sr.; son, John Potter; and two sisters, Madge Potter Wolfman and Camille Potter Mullican.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ethel Mae Canady Potter of Winnsboro; daughters, Sandra Potter Hatfield Warbington of Winnsboro and Judy Ogden and husband Johnnie of Gilbert; six grandchildren, Rana Leon, Stephanie Renfrow, Sandi Curry, Jon Michael Potter, Kellie Ogden and Haylie Ogden; nine great grandchildren, Micah Wollerson, Jenna Mae Wollerson, Jamison Hatfield, Brianna Renfrow, Victoria Leon, Jessica Leon, B. J. Curry, Piper Mae Curry, and Julia Potter; sister, Mary Holton and husband Ray of West Monroe; a special niece, Rita Williamson of West Monroe and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Johnnie Ogden, Micah Wollerson, Buddy Curry, Jamison Hatfield, Jon Michael Potter, Jamie Renfrow, Steve Hatfield, and Dennis Holton. Honorary pallbearer will be B. J. Curry.
Visitation will be 5:00 until 8:00PM Monday, August 20, 2018 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
