Willard Wiley Newman

Funeral services for Willard Wiley Newman, 80, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, February 26, 2022, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. Eric Harriman and Rev. Lee Christianson officiating. Graveside service will be held 1:30PM Saturday at Crowville Masonic Cemetery in Crowville, LA. Visitation will be from 9:00AM until service time at the funeral home.

Willard was a retired engineer with Union Pacific Railroad for over 30 years and an Army Veteran. His love was to fish, hunt, and spend time with his poker buddies on the weekend. Willard loved his family dearly.

Survivors include his wife, Jerri Dean Newman; daughter, Sabrina Newman; granddaughter, Grace “Little Darlin” Newman; and stepsons, Bruce Eley and Brian Eley.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Newman, Walter Mitchell, Larry Smith, Alan Smith, Mac McCullough, Eddie Underwood, Richard Laban, Kyle McDaniel and Kaleb McDaniel. Honorary pallbearers will be his poker buddies and Roger Murphy.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Columbia, LA.
