Wiley Ezell

Funeral services celebrating the life of Wiley Ezell, 72, of West Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 13, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, with Bro. Laymond Tucker officiating. The interment will follow immediately after at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. The visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service. 

Wiley was born on July 6, 1952, in Duval County, Florida, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 10, 2024, in West Monroe, Louisiana. 

Mr. Ezell was a husband, father, grandfather, brother and a devout Christian man, and he loved to give his testimony. So much so that he wrote a book called, “Last Chance.” He had a passion for woodworking and no project was too big or too small. Wiley also umpired baseball for many years and drove for Uber after his retirement. To know him was to love him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Kenneth Ezell, Sr. and Colleen Ezell; and his brother, Benjamin Ezell.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sherri Ezell; son, David Ezell and his wife, Tyeler; grandson, Declan Dean Ezell; brother, Warren Ezell and his wife, Kay and James Kenneth Ezell, Jr.; sister, Berna Scott and her husband, Theron; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

The pallbearers will be Benny Ezell, Jarod Golson, Tommy Hayes, Ronald “Kip” Gates, Ronnie Fontana, and Greg Green.
