Wendy Lynn Waksmunski

Wendy Lynn Waksmunski, nee McNaughton, 49, of Belleville, IL, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital.
She was born Oct. 16, 1967, in West Monroe, LA, to Aubrey and Betty Jo, nee Smith, McNaughton.
After graduating from West Monroe High School, Wendy completed her education at cosmetology school and this would become her lifelong profession.
She enjoyed music and the company of friends and family. Her motto was Live, Laugh, Love; and she did each of those with gusto right up to the day of her passing. While Will Rogers may not have met a person he did not like, Wendy never met a person that did not like her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Aubrey McNaughton; mother Betty Jo (Smith) Rodgers and daughter Angel McNaughton.
She is survived by her spouse, Gary Waksmunski of Belleville, IL; children Taylor Purcell and Austin Purcell of Belleville, IL; brother Randy McNaughton and his spouse Jill of Calhoun, LA.; sister Mickie Siegel and her spouse Carl of Fort Myers, FL.; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017, 2:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, LA., with Rev Warren Eckhardt officiating. Wendy's ashes will be laid to rest at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, Louisiana.
