Mother dedicated her life to serving others in her family and her community. We were blessed to have her daily in our lives. She was well known for her awesome biscuits, and chicken and dressing, and she enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Mom cooked every Sunday until her health declined and everyone was welcome as there was always plenty on the table. She touched the lives of so many in the Woodlawn – Mt. Vernon Community and was lovingly known as “Aunt Wanda” or “G-Maw” to family and friends. Mom embodied the saying “it takes a village” and was a mother figure to everyone who knew and loved her. Mother leaves behind a rich and beautiful legacy and will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.
