Memorial Visitation for Mr. Wade “Catfish” Dickerson, 70, of Monroe, LA, will be held from 5:00PM until 7PM Thursday, July 9, 2020, in the chapel of Parkview Baptist Church in Monroe, LA.
Mr. Dickerson was born March 23, 1950, in McComb, MS and passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at his residence in Monroe, LA. He retired as a certified water treatment operator class four from the City of Monroe. “Catfish” was a member of Parkview Baptist Church and the Neville Alumni and Friends Association. Some of Wade’s favorite times were spent at “Po-boy Hill”, the family camp on Lake D’arbonne and watching his beloved Neville Tiger Football team on Friday nights. He was gregarious in his appetite for food and friends, loved God, his country, and family above all.
Mr. Dickerson is preceded in death by his parents, JC “Dick” and Marie Cowart Dickerson; grandson, Mason Lee Thompson; and father-in-law, Houston “Hoot” Douglas.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Douglas Dickerson; two daughters, Lisa Whittington Lodgen (Jeff) and Jennifer Whittington Falcon (Evan); grandchildren, Carter Lodgen, Maddy Lodgen, Kalie Wilson, and Tyler Wilson; sister, Suzanne Dickerson Hall (James); brother, Scott Dickerson; brother- in- law, Larry Douglas and partner Dale Mertens; sisters- in- law, Stephanie Douglas Ragland (Dennis) and Peggy Barmore (Mikey); brothers-in-law, Jed Douglas (Nancy) and Cam Douglas (Vicky); mother- in- law, Maudine Brown Douglas; maternal aunt, Nel Cowart; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close family friends.
