Funeral services for Virgil Gene Gross, Sr., 71, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, September 24, 2018, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. William Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time Monday at the Mausoleum Chapel.
Mr. Gross, a mechanic, was born February 21, 1947, in Monroe, LA, and passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at St. Joseph Nursing Home.
Mr. Gross was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Gross; nephew, Derick Shows; sisters-in-law, Barbara Shows and Janice Hilburn.
Survivors include his children, Tommy Joe McClain, III of West Monroe, Joshua and Stacey McClain of Fruitland, ID, Jonathon McClain of Winnsboro, Jeremy and Thanh McClain of Fruitland, ID, Jacob and Tiari McClain, Sarah Gross, and Samuel Gross of Monroe; 5 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and loving cousins.
Pallbearers will be Samuel Gross, Devin Nelson, T. J. McClain, Dylan Smith, Bruce McQuillin, and Shane McQuillin.
