Vernon Earl Hale

Funeral Services for Vernon Earl Hale, 67, of Downsville, LA will be held at 10:00AM Thursday, January 5, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with friends of the family officiating. Interment will follow in the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville, LA.

Mr. Hale was born on November 24, 1949 in Monroe, LA and passed away on January 1, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. He served proudly in the United States Army. Vernon was a carpenter and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a longtime member of Good Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Milton and Virginia Hale; and two brothers, Phillip and Richard Hale.

Survivors include his daughters, Tracy Peterson, Felicia Trichell and husband Joey; 4 grandchildren, Chelsea Williams and husband Josh, Maisey Peterson, Jordan Conrad, and Anna Claire Trichell; two great-grandchildren, Brody and Ellie Williams; brother, Mike Hale and wife Johnnie; two sisters, Cheryl Kinard and husband Tommy Lynette Chandler and husband Jimmy; companion, Martha Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chris Christy, Jon Hale, Shelton Hale, Nathan Christy, Andrew Hale, and Danny Price.

Visitation will be 6:00PM until 8:00PM Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
