Vera Valeri Angelini

March 19, 1926 — February 23, 2014

Vera Valeri Angelini was born March 19, 1926, in Leominster, Massachusetts and a resident of Monroe, Louisiana since 1952. Vera passed away at St. Francis Medical Center at the age of 87. Vera was past president of the Catholic Newcomer’s Club, Note Bene Club, and the West Oak Garden Club. She was on the Board of Directors for the YMCA, the Mental Health Association, the American Cancer Society, and the Ouachita Society for Crippled Children. Was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader at her church, Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She was a member of the Bayou Desiard Country Club, Saint Francis Hospital Auxillary, and the Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a co-founding member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Hugo John Angelini; son, David Nicholas Angelini; her parents Prerina and Ascenzio Valeri; brother, Enrico Valeri; and sister, Phyllis Ciaschini.
Survivors include one son, Nicky David Angelini and his wife Ellen of Mission Viejo, California; two daughters, Debbie Wilmore and her husband Jeff of Monroe, Lisa Angelini of Monroe, and her precious dog, Liebling; grandchildren, Valerie Ann Palmer and her husband Charles of Denver, Colorado, Jason Hugo Jones of Monroe, and Michael David Angelini of Mission Viejo, California; her sisters, Doris Ciccolini and Norma Normandin; sister-in-law, Mary Britton of Leominster, Massachusetts; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Saint Ann’s Catholic Church in Leominster, Massachusetts. Interment will be at Saint Leo’s Catholic Cemetary in Leominster, Massachustts under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Mulhearn Funeral Home for making all arrangements in Monroe, Louisiana in such a thoughtful and caring manner. We also deeply appreciate all the loving care and attention that was given to our mother during her stay at St. Francis Hospital. They were truly angels of mercy in her time of need.
