Funeral service for Mrs. Tommye Hazel Griffin Mays, 90, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00AM Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Richard Turnley officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe. Mrs. Mays passed away on March 6, 2016, at the Oaks Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Silas Henry Mays, Jr.; son, Thomas Henry Mays; and daughter, Rebecca Lynn Mays Dandridge.Survivors include her son, Robert L. Mays and his wife Barbara S.; grandchildren, Cindy Fields, Joan M. Carter and husband Jeffrey Fox Carter, Douglas Higley and Jeffrey Robert Mays; great grandchildren, Kaelynn Higley, Justin Fields and Andrew Fox Carter; and honorary family member, Johnnie Joe Hobson. Pallbearers will be Justin Fields, Joe Fields, Jeff Carter, Jeff Mays, James Ward, and Keith Higley.Visitation will be from 9:00AM until service time Thursday at the Mausoleum Chapel.
