Funeral Services for Tommy “Squinchy” Younse, Jr., 69, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, January 7, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
Tommy was born October 1, 1947 and passed away January 4, 2017. Tommy was proud to serve his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He traveled the country working as a pipeline inspector. He enjoyed spending his days at the family camp piddling around and afterwards would meet his old friends for coffee at the Waffle House to share stories. Tommy was passionate about golf, whether playing or spectating, it was always a part of his life. But most of all he was proud of his grandkids; watching them grow, learn and succeed filled him with joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy Younse, Sr. and Mildred Mills Younse.
He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas “Ty” and Leslie Younse, and Brian and Amanda Younse; three grandchildren, Thomas Younse, II and wife Courtney, Ashton “Parker” Younse, and Cody Younse; two great grandchildren, Nathan and Emma; two sisters, Brenda Stelly and Susan Brown; niece, Stacey Stelly; nephew, Jay Stelly; and their children; and a very special family friend, Bobbie Foust Dana.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until service time on Saturday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
