Funeral Services for Mr. Tommy Joe Fontana, Sr. 59, of West Monroe, LA will be 10:00 AM Friday, December 4, 2009 at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Monroe with Ftr. Mark Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe.

Mr. Fontana was born on July 27, 1950 in Monroe, LA and passed away on November 30, 2009 in Shreveport, LA. He was a member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Monroe. Mr. Fontana was a member of IBEW for 36 years. He was a member of the Northeast Louisiana Chapter of ABATE and an avid hunter. He is preceded in death by his father, Joe Fontana, sister, Connie Fontana and stepfather, Milford Lee Wright.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jackie T. Fontana of West Monroe, LA; son, T.J. Fontana and wife Angelia of Keithville, LA; daughter, Marla Fontana of West Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Kody Fontana, Kendall Fontana, and Isabella Fontana; mother, Lorene Wright; brothers, Ronnie Fontana and wife Rachel and Steve Fontana and wife Linda; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews and special great-nephews, Camden Bell and Slade Jackson.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Fontana, Mitchell Fontana, Clint Fontana, Max Creed, Casey Shows, and Chris Jackson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth Gallien, Jack Miles, Larry Smith, Odell Ellis, Jay Hollingsworth, Bobby Sullivan, and Harvey Holdiness.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday, December 3, 2009 and a Vigil Wake Service will be at 6:00 PM Thursday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

The family would to extend a special thank you to Frank McNatt and IBEW Local #194, Northeast Louisiana Chapter of ABATE, Squirrel and Sherrie’s Cycle Shop, Dr. David Barnes, Dr. David Raines, Dr. Raj Gandhi, Paulette Hillis, and Promise Hospital of Shreveport for their outstanding care and compassion.
