Due to Covid 19 restrictions, Private Family Services will be held for Mr. Tom Wayne Golson on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Bodie Spicer officiating. Interment will follow in the Clark Springs Cemetery in West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Tommy was born on August 13, 1930 and passed away peacefully on February 21, 2021 after a lengthy illness with Alzheimer’s. Tommy was employed for 38 years with Tennessee Gas Pipeline and retired in 1986. Over the course of the years, he made many long-lasting friends and came to love all of his co-workers. He was a long-standing member of Clark Springs Baptist Church.
Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Jefferson Golson and Elsie Beatrice Taylor; his wife, LaNell Koerth; siblings, Juanita Cantrell, Elaine Golson, and Shirley Crowell; stepson, Brad Walker and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy (Griggs) Walker Golson; children, Valerie Calhoun, Wayne Golson, David Golson, Troy Golson and special friend, Sharron Witten; Bill Walker and Paula Walker, and Cheryl Walker; grandchildren, Lisa Griffin and husband, David, Stacey Lawson and husband, Richard, Jeremy Calhoun and wife, Brianna, Amanda James and husband, Jody, Jarrod Golson, Kristin Hattaway and husband, Shane, Justin Golson and wife, Sydney, Reid Golson and wife, Maggie, and Brittney Smith and husband, Daniel; and 14 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Justin Golson, Reid Golson, Jason Davis, Jeremy Calhoun, Garrett Sandel and Peyton Hattaway.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank Stoneybrook Memory Care and Ascend Hospice for their excellent care for Tommy. We will be forever grateful.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Clark Springs Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in care of Mike Ferlicca.
