Thomas H. Walters, Jr.

Graveside Services for Mr. Thomas H. Walters, Jr., 88, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 4:00 P.M., Monday, July 9, 2018, in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery Monroe, LA, with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA.

Mr. Walters was born on July 2, 1930, and passed away peacefully at home on July 7, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He served in the United States Navy and retired from Tifco Industries. Mr. Walters loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed cooking and gardening. Mr. Walters is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Walters Sr. and Janie Ethel Walters; three sisters, Dovie Denham, Lessie Bentley, and Bonnie Vaughn; and one brother, Clint Walters.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Lucille Williams Walters; five children, Mike Walters, Ronnie Walters (Brenda), Cindy Beeman (Scott), Renee Parker (Gary) and Stephanie Walters; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; sister, Effie Whitfield (Whit); brothers, Denson Walters (Carolyn), Winston Walters (Bonnie), and Bob Walters (Barbara); numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his faithful dog, Baby.

Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
