Thomas David Brunt, Jr

Funeral services for Thomas David Brunt, Jr, 74, of Monroe will be held at 2:00PM Monday December 19, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA, with Rev. Aaron Dickinson and Dr. Mark Fenn officiating. Interment will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Brunt was owner of Brunt Tile and Marble for 35 years and served as a Justice of the Peace for over 30 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Swartz. Mr. Brunt was a graduate of ULM School of Construction and taught construction classes for many years, and was an avid supporter of Northeast Louisiana University/ULM. He is preceded in death by his parents David and Eddie Lee Brunt and by his granddaughter, Courtney Swann.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Judy Brunt; children, David Brunt, III and wife Amy, Kathy D. Porter, Vicki Swann and husband Greg; grandchildren, David Brunt, IV, Alexandra Herrera and husband Carlos, Levi Brunt, Eliza Brunt, Ashlie Hennessy and husband Wade, Madison Porter, Shelbi Williamson, and KK Swann; great grandchild, Emersynn Hennessy; sister-in-law, Diane Patrick and husband Pat; niece, Kristi Williams and husband Josh.

Pallbearers will be Carl Clossner, Buddy Embanto, Brian Avara, Harold Sullivan, Stuart Parker, and Bert Brown.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Lewis Auttonberry Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Sunday December 18, 2016 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Assocation.
