Terry Wayne Whitaker

A celebration of life will be held for Terry Wayne Whitaker, 59, of West Monroe, LA, at 1:00 P.M., August 7, 2021, at New Chapel Hill Fellowship Hall in West Monroe with Rev. Werner Aswell officiating.

Mr. Whitaker was born December 24, 1961, in Lynwood, CA, and passed away July 30, 2021, in Monroe, LA. He never met a stranger and would always make you feel welcome. He was always willing to help anyone and was a good brother. Terry loved working in his yard, and he loved his dog, Rocky. He was a kid at heart and enjoyed playing around with his family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Edna Whitaker, and Dwight and Ivy Hubbard; and his daughter, Tabitha.

Survivors include his two daughters, Amber Kuykendall (Willie), and Tracy Whitaker; son, Justin Whitaker; ex-wife, Yvonne “Mickey” Mrakuzic; four grandchildren, Cadence, Bentley, Abigail, and Maddison; his parents, John and Gayle Whitaker; sister, Penny Hancock (Mark); brothers, John Whitaker (Penny), Dwight Whitaker (Janet), and Andrew Whitaker; bonus sister, Dana Palmer; and many nieces and nephews.
