Funeral Services for Terry Lee Gates, 69, of Farmerville, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 14, 2017 at Rocky Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Woodson McGuffie officiating. Interment will follow in Rocky Branch Cemetery, Rocky Branch, LA. with Rev. Rick Carter officiating.
Terry was born on September 26, 1947 and passed away on August 12, 2017. Mr. Gates was a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church. Terry was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bowling. Terry is preceded in death by his wife Linda H. Gates; parents Robert and Eliza Gates; brother in laws, Jake Halley and R.A. Temple.
Survivors include his children, Becky Williams (James), JoElla Simpson (Tal), Neal Gates (Heather); grandchildren, Terri Donald, Michael Kern, Savannah Reeves and Wiley Reeves; five great grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Gates Dean (Jimmy), Alesia Sue Bynun (Harvey), Sharon Gates and Karon Walker (David), Frenchie Gates Halley and Eliza Gray Temple; brother, Robert Benjamin Gates (Susan).
Pallbearers will be Charles Gates, Aubrey Gates, Curtis Fuselier, Kerry Freeman, Freddy Franklin, Ervin Tatum, and Benny Joe Hayes.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Rocky Branch Baptist Church, Rocky Branch, Louisiana.
