Terry Joe McDonaldMulhearn Funeral HomeWest Monroe, LA Terry Joe McDonald passed away on New Year’s Eve at the age of 68, while visiting his sister, Sandra Landry and her husband, Glenn Landry in Corsicana, TX. He was born on September 6, 1947 to Terry and Estelle McDonald, both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary Aaron McDonald; three daughters and one son, his daughters are, Teara, wife of Billy Sanders, Trudy Wood, wife of Jason Wood, and Jennifer Smith, wife of Scott Smith and Jimbo Thomspon, husband to Kathy Thompson. He had six grandchildren: Zack Wood, Lindsey Sanders, Nick Wood, Tyler Rhea, Hannah Rhea, and Sam Wood; and one great grandchild, Zayden Waldrop. He retired from Bell South management in 2005, and was free to pursue his passions, the chief of which were hunting deer, hogs, and duck, fishing, playing his guitar, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. He was outgoing and full of life and he will be missed beyond measure by the ones who loved him.He influenced all of us with his passion, his strong opinions, his love of music and food, and the way he could create community through all of the things he loved. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Winn, Jamie Swillie, Jerry Bailey, Jimmy Dinger, Ronnie Wood, and Garrett Hudson.Visitation will be from 11:30 A.M. on Monday, January 4, until the service at 1:00 the same day.
