Teddy Joe Sutton

It is with great sadness that the family of Teddy Joe Sutton announces his passing after a prolonged illness on December 21, 2018 at the age of 70 years. Funeral services for Teddy Joe will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Mulhearn’s Garden Mausoleum at 623 Highway 80 East, in Monroe, Louisiana. Visitation will precede the funeral service from 2:00 PM until 3:00PM.
Teddy Joe was born November 26, 1948 in Monroe, LA. He was a member of Saint Matthews Catholic Church and enjoyed Neville football, hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. Teddy Joe loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren and his many dogs over the years. He spent the majority of his working career in sales at Glazier Distributors. Teddy Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Ted Sutton and Omega “Mickey” Carter Sutton.
Teddy Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Debbie Jones Sutton; one son, Carter Joseph Sutton and wife Christina Gerteis of Fort Collins, Colorado; two daughters, Amie Goubert Smith and husband Brad of Monroe, LA, and Sarah Goubert Bradford and husband Davis of Katy, Texas; grandchildren, Allen Smith, Hannah Smith, Sutton Bradford, and Archer Bradford.
Pallbearers will be Hugh Inabinet, David Lowrey, S.J. Cicero, Philip Culpepper, Davis Bradford, Brad Smith, Allen Smith, and Carter Sutton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Kennedy, Steve Magown, Mike Smith, and Cramer Hayes.
Condolences may be extended to the family via donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
