Funeral services for Ted van Landingham, 58, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 23, 2010, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe with Rev. Job Edathinatt officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 PM Saturday at Memorial Park in Louisville, MS.

Mr. van Landingham passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2010. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his devoted and loving wife, Ava Pugh; and his sister, Patricia Schneider of Milford, OH; niece, Amanda Rodgers; and two great nieces, Alyssa Christina and Sydney Mia Rodgers.

Monroe native son, Mr. van Landingham graduated from Neville High School in 1969, and received his degree from Northeast Louisiana University, now ULM. He served in the Marine Corps. For thirty-eight years he was a fine wine consultant, and contributed to the culture of the community as a member of the Monroe Symphony Board and guest writer of Delta Style. His hobbies and interests included music, cooking, tennis, and kayaking. He is remembered fondly by friends and family as a talented raconteur and musician. When asked to sum up his life for a class reunion bio, he wrote: “married the love of my life.”

Pallbearers will be David Pugh, Cole Lofton, Bob Martin, Stan Hargus, Bryan Racer, and Ronnie Taylor. Honorary pallbearer will be David Martin.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
