Tarver Mickel Braddock

Tarver Mickel Braddock was born on April 4, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital in Monroe, LA to Lindsey Husted Braddock and Brett Tarver Braddock. He went to be with the Lord on January 5, 2024, at the young age of 16.

Tarver attended Lexington, Sallie Humble, Neville Junior High, and was currently a junior at Neville High School. He was a member of the Interact Club, Renaissance, and Student Council. He truly enjoyed being a part of Neville’s shop program. He was also involved in Neville Baseball where most recently he loved being the leader of the “left field lounge.” He was a part of the Neville Football Team where he took pride in having the most “drip” on. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church where he attended and helped team a teen retreat. Tarver also loved being involved in Young Life.

The number one thing he loved in life was making people laugh. His personality and smile were one of a kind. His attitude and energy were contagious. He lit up every room and was always ready to entertain. Tarver went out of his way to make other people smile. His work ethic was second to none, and he thoroughly enjoyed “doing projects.” He loved to fish, hunt, and do anything outdoors. He spent countless hours on the boat that he loved to hate. Being with his friends brought him the most joy. He fiercely loved his boys as much as his family. Even though he was younger, Tarver took great care of and provided protection for his sister Stella. Tarver’s smile, laugh, and personality will live on in our hearts and minds forever. Tarver would not want us to be sad or wear black clothes. Please dress in your happy colors to celebrate his life. He would want us all to be more like him; smile a lot and spread sunshine wherever you go.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Deborah Hamilton Pope (Honey), and maternal grandfather, William Lindsey Husted, III (Papa).

In addition to his parents and sister, Stella Elizabeth Braddock, survivors include maternal great grandmother, Mary Alice Mickel Husted; grandmother, Vicki Husted; aunt and uncle, Holly and Brian Campbell; cousins, Will and Thomas; paternal grandmother, Frances Elizabeth Tarver; paternal grandfather, David Brett Braddock (Sandi); uncle, Ryan Braddock; and cousin, Caroline; aunt and uncle, Kate and John David Braddock, Sr.; and cousins, John David, Jr. “Jack” and Savannah, Brenda and Keith Bonin, Carol and Wilby Campbell; and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Will Campbell, Thomas Campbell, Max Southern, Jake Booth, James “Bubba” Scalia, Marshall Burkett, Eli Day, Reese Reichardt, Allen Parker, George Tucker, Johnathan Ditta, Hunt Grant, Sutton Lewis, Jack Braddock, and McCain Jarrell.
