Funeral Services for Mrs. Tammie Thomas Slawson, 53, of Eros, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 16, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Monroe, LA with Rev. J.T. Strong, Rev. James Doughty and Dr. Alan Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Slawson was born November 24, 1963, in Delhi, LA, and passed away September 13, 2017. Tammie was an incredible wife, wonderful mom, loving “Grammie”, devoted daughter and sister, precious friend, and mentor to many. She was a Licensed Professional Counselor, and was the Founding Director of Monroe Family Justice Center. She was Co-Founder, with husband Terry, of Seeker Springs Ministry, and a Good and Faithful servant of Jesus!

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Jim Slawson.

Survivors include her husband Terry Slawson; children, Britney Wheat and husband, Jeremy; Katelyn Weems and husband, Jamie and Justyn Slawson; grandchildren, Eli and Lily Wheat; parents, Merle Curry and husband, James; Ed Thomas and wife, Mary Jane; mother-in-law, Christine Haddad and husband, Dooley; brother, Eddie Thomas and wife, Laura; sister-in-law, Toni Hodge; and many, many more relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Thomas, Jeremy Wheat, Jamie Weems, Cooper Collins, Brad Johnson and Michael Garrett.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Friday, September 15, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Monroe, LA.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Seeker Springs Ministry (For Completion of the Lodge) or The Wellspring.
