Sybil Braddock

Graveside services for Sybil Braddock, 81, of Monroe, will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Mount Rose Cemetery, Grayson, LA with Rev. Clyde Sanchez and Bro. Dilan Braddock officiating.

Mrs. Braddock was born October 8, 1935 and passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX.

Mrs. Braddock was a longtime member of Bayou Oaks Baptist Church where she was always very active. She volunteered for many years at various churches and schools. She was also a volunteer worker for The Parkinson’s Disease Foundation. She was an employee of True Light Lighting Company where she worked in the shipping department. Along with attending church and volunteering, she also enjoyed to garden as much as possible.

Mrs. Braddock was preceded in death by her father, Odom Fisher; mother, Hazel Fisher; husband of 53 years, Pete Braddock; and brother, Leon Fisher.

Survivors include her son, Rick Braddock and wife Laura; grandchildren, Dilan and Amanda Braddock; and sister, Mary Humphries.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia LA with procession to Mount Rose Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Marshall Fisher, Dilan Braddock, Kenny Travis, Clay Robertson, Luke Jimenez, and Chris Robertson.

Memorials may be made to Bayou Oaks Baptist Church, Monroe, LA.
