Memorial Services for Stephanie Kim Hurlburt, “Kim”, 64, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in West Monroe, LA. Visitation will be held at the church from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service on Wednesday.
Kim was born at St. Francis hospital on June 15, 1959, in West Monroe, LA, to Richard and Tommie Campbell and passed away February 21, 2024, at home surrounded by her loved ones.
Kim grew up with her two sisters and brother living on their land while developing a love for dance, horses, and being outside. She had a huge passion for cooking and was phenomenal at it.
Kim married Brian on August 30, 1986, in West Monroe, LA, where they had 3 children together. Having lived in the states of Louisiana, Arkansas, Colorado, Tennessee, and Texas, Kim and Brian raised their children in the suburbs of Dallas, while Kim worked as a paralegal and ran marathons for fun. She loved attending soccer games, dance competitions, and singing gigs to support her pride and joy, her children.
In 2018 Kim moved back home to her roots in West Monroe where she became a grandmother. She also became a school bus driver and never missed a workout class at the Wellness Center. She was an avid member and treasurer of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church and fed the homeless weekly with her sister. She loved to hunt, and deer season was her favorite, as she killed many.
Kim was strong, beautiful, highly intelligent, and a funny woman. Her children were the greatest recipients of the boundless love she bestowed, forever cherishing the profound affection she shared with them. Kim was a tried-and-true Steel Magnolia.
She is survived by her sister, Christi and her husband, Tim McGrew of West Monroe, LA; brother, Doug and his wife, Sharon Campbell; father of her children, Brian Hurlburt; daughter, Brittani Hurlburt and and Mark Antley of West Monroe; son, Brian Hurlburt II and Maggie Cruz of Steamboat Springs, CO; daughter, Victoria Clay and her husband, Steven Mills of West Monroe; stepdaughter, Bre and her husband, Matthew Muro of Helena, AL; granddaughter, Tommie Jane Hurlburt; step granddaughters, Lorelai and Ella Muro; nephew, Garrett and his wife, Farrah McGrew; niece, Quinci and her husband, Matt Crane; nieces, Isabella Mazzanti and Savannah Jane Campbell; and her partner, Kevin Caples.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Tommie Campbell; sister, Tami Campbell; and cousin, Glen Campbell.
