Services for Sondra Lee Sames Martin, 77, of West Monroe, will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 PM in the chapel conducted by Rev. Warren Eckhardt, associate pastor of North Monroe Baptist Church.Sondra went to be with her Lord Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, April 26, 2015, after an extended illness. Sondra was a retired day care teacher at North Monroe Baptist Church and was a resident of Landmark Nursing Home. She is survived by two daughters, April Martin of West Monroe and Lisa Hall of Monroe; 3 grandchildren, Alisha Martin of Monroe, Austin Hall & his wife Jennifer of West Monroe, and Allison Hall of Monroe; as well as 2 great grandchildren, Alora & Bradley. She is also survived by a sister, Donna Kuhns & her husband Richard of Center Valley, PA; two brothers, Russell Sames & his wife Edith of Spokane, WA, and Roger Sames & his wife Barbara of Allentown, PA; along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other loved ones.The family wishes to thank all the special ladies on the 200 hall of Landmark that took great care of and showed much love to Sondra these last years along with the staff of Hospice Compassus that guided us through the dark days.
