Funeral Services for Mrs. Shivery Alta Roberts Humble Burdeaux, 81, of Downsville, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Sonny McGuffie officiating. Interment will follow in the Hasley Cemetery West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Burdeaux was born on January 6, 1933 in Darnell, LA and passed away at her residence on February 21, 2014. She loved animals, gardening, and woodworking. She delivered newspapers for the News Star many years. Mrs. Burdeaux was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who had a Godly way with nature. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fay Hardin Burdeaux; son, Fred Humble; two grandchildren, Daniel Wayne Burdeaux and baby brother; and one great grandson, Devon Graves.
Survivors include children, Linda Humble Sheptock and husband Butch, William B. Humble, Jr. and wife, Kris, Virginia A. Humble, Wayne Burdeaux and wife Denise, Donna Buhler and husband, Mickey, Diane Burdeaux, and David Burdeaux and wife Rhonda; seventeen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one niece, and two nephews.
Mrs. Burdeaux’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
