Shirley Moore Taylor

Funeral Services for Mrs. Shirley Moore Taylor, 77, of West Monroe, LA, will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 8, 2020, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Dr. Randy Burdeaux officiating. Interment will follow in Luna Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Tuesday.

Shirley Moore Taylor was born February 9, 1943 and passed away December 5, 2020. She worked as a meat wrapper at Safeway for 25 years and also worked for ABB Construction Company for 23 years.

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie King.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Jack Taylor; her children, Kay Morris, Donna Burke, and Billie Jo Gilbert and husband Shannon; special friend, Mike Burke; twelve grandchildren, Tony Valdez, Kari Warren, Rachael Morris, Vicki Morris, Michael Wayne Burke, Travis William Burke, Amanda Beach, Jessica King, Haley King, Dakota King, Montana King, and Zackery “Hoss” Gilbert; seventeen great grandchildren; brother, Donald Moore; sisters, Edna Wilkins, Dianne Rumbelow, Linda Myers, and Lucille Crenshaw; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Mercer, Wayne Moore, Marty Moore, Scotty Taylor, Kevin Tyson, and Randall Gregory.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Burke, Wayne Cook, Tracie Posey, Jery Bailey, Tommy Guess, Robert Jones, and Danny Kane.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
