Graveside service for Mrs. Sherry Gail Stanley, 82, of Monroe, LA, will be held 1:00PM Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery with Mr. Richard Byrd officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe.
Mrs. Stanley was born on January 23, 1938, in Sunray, TX, and passed away on December 1, 2020, in Monroe.
Mrs. Stanley was a member of the Swartz Church of Christ. She graduated from Harding University, and taught in the East Carroll Parish School System where she retired.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Stanley; and a brother, Don Huffstutter; and sister-in-law, Judy Hattaway
Survivors include her children, Mark Stanley and wife Susan, Dr. Gary Stanley and wife Jamie, and Jerry Stanley and wife Christine; brothers, Dr. Paul Huffstutter and wife Dianne, Dr. Bill Huffstutter and wife Anne, and Dr. Eugene Huffstutter and wife Sue; brother-in-law, Richard Stanley and wife B.C.; sisters-in-law, Nancy Huffstutter and Anne Jones; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stanley is also survived by her beloved cat, Trixie.
Visitation will be from 12:00PM until service time at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kory Stanley, Chris Stanley, Aaron Stanley, Heath Rutledge, Chris Newton, and Jordan Scoggins.
Honorary pallbearers will be the ten great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
