Funeral Services for Mrs. Shern Anne “MoMo” Vascocu, 63, of West Monroe, LA will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 136 Fellowship Road, Columbia, LA 71418, with Brother Charles McGuire and Dr. Larry Soles officiating. Interment will follow in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Mrs. Shern was born November 2, 1951 in Natchitoches, LA and passed away March 3, 2015 in West Monroe, LA after an eight year battle with breast cancer. She loved her family especially her grandkids. Mrs. Shern was a devoted Christian, who proclaimed, “God’s got a plan”. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Tate; parents, Ucie and Univee Vascocu; and brother, Keith Vascocu.Survivors include her children, David Rachal, Alicia Langley and husband Scott, and Jamie Barnette and wife Amber; grandchildren, Destiny Soles, Alexis Soles, Eli Soles, Owen Langley, Cullen Barnette, and Maverick Barnette; brother, Glen Vascocu; and her caregiver, Clint Tuggle. Pallbearers will be Clint Tuggle, Marty Varner, Randy Barnette, Tim Richmond, Brad Vascocu, and Danny Overturf.Honorary Pallbearers will be J.T. Thomasson, Jacob Overturf, and Josey George.Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Thursday at the Church.
