Shepard Girault Montgomery, 52, Jackson, Mississippi died February 15, 2018 at his home.
Shep was born October 26, 1965, in Monroe, Louisiana and had lived in Mississippi for the last thirty years. He worked as a journalist, insurance regulator and underwriter, and most recently as a futures trader. He was a graduate of The Webb School, Bell Buckle, Tennessee and Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge.
He is survived by his brother, Joe King Montgomery (Ginny Brown), his sister, Julie Anne Montgomery, his stepmother, Rebo K. Bradford, his niece, Mae Virginia Montgomery, his nephew, Cookston King Montgomery, his aunt, Dorothea Girault Garrett and numerous cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe Creath Montgomery and Bernice Shepard Girault Montgomery and grandparents, Aylmer Eugene Montgomery, Sr., Frances Noel Montgomery, Edward Shepard Girault and Bernice Jones Girault.
Graveside services will be held at 4:30 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2018 at Riverview Cemetery, 3901 South Grand Street, Monroe, Louisiana. The Reverend Richard H. Norman, Jr., M.A., S.T.M., Rector, Grace Episcopal Church will officiate.
