Shelby O. McManus

Funeral Services for Mr. Shelby O. McManus, 86, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, November 12, 2018, at McClendon Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Kevin Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery in Grayson, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

Mr. McManus was born March 19, 1932, in Winnsboro, LA, and passed away November 9, 2018. He was a member of McClendon Baptist Church, and retired from Swanson Correction Center as the Grounds Supervisor Teacher. Mr. McManus enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Olivia McManus; granddaughter, Tonya Brown; and two great grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, VI McManus; daughters, Shelbie Coker and husband John, and Sandra Lawrence and husband Matt; six grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and brother, Norman “Hollis” McManus.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Rowe, Russ Rowe, Daniel Coker, Wesley Nelson, Thomas Brown and Bob Tom Riser.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bo Laird, Dan Gilliland, Julian Terrel, and his Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 A.M. until service time on Monday at the church.
