Shawn Earnest Brown

Memorial service for Mrs. Shawn Earnest Brown, 58, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Bayou Oaks Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Sanchez officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the church.

Shawn was born on September 30, 1964, in New Orleans, LA, and passed away on March 19, 2023, in Monroe. She worked for the Ouachita Parish School Board for several years, but the last few years she has been a secretary at Bayou Oaks Baptist Church. Her family was a main priority in life and her grandson called her Peaches. Shawn had a special place in her heart for animals, but especially her new puppy Penny. Shawn always wanted everyone to come over and spend time in Brown Town. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Edna Earnest; grandfather, Clyde Earnest; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Janie Brown; uncle, Jimmy Williams; and cousin, Donna Williams Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Brian Brown; parents, John and Carole Earnest; two sons, Blake Brown (Katelynn), Cory Brown (Carolyn); daughter, Tiffany Brown and her fiancée Mason Hamons; grandson, John Beau Brown; aunt, Carol Williams; three special cousins, Diane Williams Segrave, Cathy Williams Frabbiele, and Cheryl Williams Knudsen; and numerous other cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
