Shauncey Tanner Wood

Funeral service for Mrs. Shauncey Tanner Wood, 64, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:30 A.M. Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe.

Mrs. Wood persevered through nursing school as a single mom and then worked as an RN for over 15 years. She adored her children and family. Her husband of 24 years was her entire world. Mrs. Wood loved to read, drink sweet tea, and sit around and visit with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Tanner; sister, Sundae Tanner; both sets of grandparents; and by two great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Wood; father, Travis Tanner; children, Jason Keen and wife Misty; Sara Lyde and husband Jason; Ashley Jones and husband Gary; and Brandon O’Neal and fiancé Brittany; sister, Roanna Davis and husband Chris; brother, Roger Tanner and wife Susan; grandchildren, Victoria Owens and husband Holden; Makayla Shows and Mark; Dylan Shows, Zoie Ingram, Emorie Lyde, and Ethan Jones; two great grandchildren, Karlie and Walker; and niece, Morgan Marques and husband Fabio.

Pallbearers will be Jason Lyde, Gary Jones, Mark Bradford, Brandon O’Neal, Dylan Shows, and Jason Keen. The honorary pallbearer will be Holden Owens.
