Scott Clinton Russell, age 65, of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, went to his heavenly home on September 11, 2021. He was born on August 10, 1956, in Monroe, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Melba Smith.
Scott was a true outdoorsman. He hunted with his brother and friends his entire life. He was especially gifted in bow hunting. He loved the mountains and was gifted with many skills and opportunities to guide various wilderness hunts. Scott also enjoyed fishing, tennis, golf and playing the guitar. He loved singing and dancing. He was always the life of the party and never met a stranger. More than anything, he loved the lord with his whole heart and would share the gospel with others. Scott loved living in the mountains with his wife, Cindy and their family. He enjoyed his horses and dogs and the simple life. His big heart for others and infectious laugh will be cherished and missed by many.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Russell and children: Jacob (Jeanne) Burlingame of Washington State and Christian Burlingame of Harrison, Arkansas: Shemaia and Chasia Cooper of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; grandson, Elijah. Brother, Len (Sherry) Smith. of Monroe, Louisiana. Sisters: Kathy (Bill) Eppley of Bayport, Florida, Ashley Russell of Florence, South Carolina, Jan Allen of Monroe, Louisiana, Jenny Ellerbe of Monroe Louisiana and a bonus South Carolina sister, Debbie. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews: Kim Arthurs, Kelli (Micheal) Gilbert, Joey Smith, Megan (Tim) Carpenter, Erin (Michael) Grubenhoff and Zachary Allen; seven great nieces and nephews: Grayson, Abbie, Landry, Sophie, Marin, Eleanor, Leo; and special friends Tony Danna and Larry Maggio with many others.
A visitation and memorial service is scheduled for 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday, October 8, 2021, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA.
