A visitation honoring Sarah Lee (Peters) Groth, 77, of Monroe, LA, will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Private family burial will follow.
On Wednesday, December 19, 2018, Sarah Lee (Peters) Groth transitioned into the arms of Jesus peacefully at her home. She was born February 18, 1941, to Franky and Laura Belle (Cotton) Peters. She is survived by her two sons, Travis Squyres and Ronald Squyres (Glenda); and her dear companion, John Forsell. Sarah Lee also leaves behind her grandchildren, Matthew Squyres, Brooke (Squyres) Morris, Brittany Squyres, and Rebecca Squyres; as well as step grandchildren, Jarrod Solar and Morgan Solar. She lit up when her only great grandchild, Lily, visited. Sarah Lee had a vibrant personality that could not be denied and lived life to the fullest. She was an avid Saints and Drew Brees fan. Mrs. Groth was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to thank to Jessica Hoopes for being not only a caretaker but also a friend to Sarah Lee over the past months.
