Private family services for Sarah Rebecca Head Hicks, 29, of Baton Rouge, LA, will be held Sunday March 26, 2023, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum with her uncle, John Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA.
Sarah Rebecca Hicks, beloved wife, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2023, at the age of 29. Born in Monroe, LA on March 23, 1993, Sarah was the daughter of Mickey and Becky Head. She grew up in Monroe and attended Baton Rouge Community College where she was pursuing her degree in Nursing. On May 15, 2021, Sarah was happily married to Conner Hicks who was her partner in life. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. They raised a beautiful Kimber Cur named Teddy “TT” Head. The bond that Sarah and TT shared was inseparable. Sarah was a lover of all animals and nature, with the world’s biggest heart for any animal in need. Sarah lived her life with kindness, compassion and love.
In addition to her role as a wife and daughter, Sarah was also a loyal friend and dedicated member of her community. She had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Sarah was passionate about loving animals, saltwater fishing with her husband, taking car rides around town with TT listening to music, and ultimately her tanning. She pursued these interests with great enthusiasm throughout her life. Those who knew Sarah will remember her for her infectious smile, her kind heart, and her unwavering love for her family and friends and TT. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nancy Wilson and Oscar and Dorothy Head.
Survivors: her husband, Conner Stephen Lloyd Hicks; parents, Becky and Mickey Head; brother, William Guice Head and his fiancé , Gabrielle; grandfather, Bill Wilson; father and mother-in-law, Scotty and Lisa Hicks; grandparents-in-law, Toni Foss and Phil Greene; uncles and aunts, John David and Mimi Wilson, Lon and Donna Wilson, Kelley and Chuck Magee, Annette and Mike Epps, Vickie and Thomas Bumgardner; sister-in-law, Courtney Hicks Carpenter and her husband Kenneth; and numerous cousins.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Matt Minninger, Scott Rider, Joseph Joplin, Jonathan Boudreaux, Reagan Crotwell, Harrison Holloway, Ryan Epps, and Chris Jones.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to ASPCA or the Ouachita Human Society.
Rest in peace, to our dearly beloved Sarah. You will be forever loved and missed. But never forgotten.
