Sarah Cutrer HarrisonFuneral services for Sarah Cutrer Harrison, 82, of Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 20, 2014, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Monroe, with Senior Pastor Tim Neustifter and Associate Pastor JoAnne Pounds officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Monroe. Sarah was born on November 24, 1932, and passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, following a lengthy illness. She was married to Dr. Robert E. Harrison for 58 years. Both husband and wife chose education as their initial vocation. Sarah graduated from Robeline High School in Louisiana. She then earned a B eD from Northwestern State University and further advanced her education completing a M eD from the University of Arkansas. Sarah taught elementary level education in the Monroe City School System for twenty-one years. Later, she was employed by the Ouachita Parish Public Library, in the Genealogy Department. She was a true “Southern Lady”. She was full of beauty and kindness, and possessed a genteel strength that was evident throughout her life. Her smile, her laugh, and the twinkle in her blue eyes will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Ernest Cutrer, and her son, Robert E. Harrison, Jr. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Robert E. Harrison, Sr. and numerous other family members. Pallbearers will be Dr. Bobby Canterbury, Dr. Mike Dolecheck, Dr. Van McGraw, Dr. Dwight Vines, John Burson and Danny Keyes. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM, Saturday, December 20, 2014, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
